We learnt to embed media into our websites. Basically this allowed us to place videos, slideshows and other media (youtube videos, flickr and more)into our websites. With the combination of all three lessons, I am now equipped with the skills to construct a website.

Basically, css is just another way to style your website. After creating the website with html, you can style it to make it unique and interesting. As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words, so a well designed wallpaper for your website will enhance the effects of your website. Css also allows you to change colour and font of texts.

We learnt about how to create a website without using programs like dreamweaver. We used the hypertext markup language(html) and notepad to create the website. Although the process was hard, what was priceless was the sastifaction of seeing the completed project.

Web 1.0 vs web 2.0

This week, we have learnt more about the internet and about web 1.0 and web 2.0. Basically, web 1.0 is where the web host is the only one that can post whereas web 2.0 is where everybody can post or edit information. Well, the advantages of web 2.0 is that everyone can participate, which gives rise to online computer games. However, the disadvantage is that hackers can release virusus into the system faster than if the system is 1.0.
